Two thousand persons attended the funeral of Mr Mitchell, the musician, who lost his life in a gallant attempt to save that of Sir Denis Anson. The Reecho m orchestra played the “Funeral March.’’ Several of Sir Denis Anson’s relatives and friends were present, and there were many beautiful wreaths.
