Stephen George and Deacon Aluaheuu Nissen, of the Ancient Nestorian Church, who have been detained at Port Darwin, said they were collecting for Armenian churches. Previous arrivals on a similar mission did not carry credentials recognisable by the Government, and it was decided to restrict the landing of any more. They could tranship for New Zealand provided they gave an undertaking not to collect money in Australia.
