A strong and pleasing personality, combined with exquisite pose and dainty manipulation at the table are strong factors in'the Lancastrian’s favour. He may not bo as great a point-maker as the world’s champion. Inman, but as a stylist, Reece is away ahead of the English champion, and in exhibition billiards stylo <jalways counts. During his first game with Fred Lindrum at Melbourne, Recce created a new Australian record for nursery cannons, making four runs of 25 ball to hall cannons, tho number allowed before contact with cue ball and a cushion has to be made under the rules. Record entries are anticipated, and Messrs Alcock and Co., Ltd., are out for making this year's tourney a greater success than has ever been achieved in the past. A markers’ tournament will bo held in September, The date, however, has yet to he settled. " This competition will be only for .bona fide markers of either clubs or saloons, and the professional men should get busy, practising for the event.
