RESOLUTE DEFEATS VANITIE AND DEFIANCE.

The Resolute defeated the Vanitie by three miles and the Defiance by 3. miles in a thirty miles contest in typical Sandy Hcok weather. (Received July 13, 0.55 a.m.) NEW YORK, July 12. Vanitie defeated Defiance by a small margin, the Resolute being completely outclassed. The eliminating test was sailed in a heavy fog.
