CITY RESERVES
ALLOCATION, OF DATES FOR MATCHES.
Representatives of winter sports bodies met in the Town Hall last evening for the purpose of allocating the dates upon which charges are: allowed to bo made for admission to the Basin Reserve and Newtown Park. The organisations represented wore; Wellington Rugby Union, Wellington Hookey Association, Wellington Football Association/ Wellington Rugby League, and Wellington Lacrosse Association.
For the Basin Reserve, the following dates were agreed on: Wellington Football Association: June 27th, July 25th, August 15th,' August 29.1 June 3rd had previously been granted by the reserves "committee ■'
Wellington Hockey Association.August Ist (Britain v. Wellington, l ladies’ match), September 12th (North *■ Island v. South Island). ..U Wellington Rugby League.—Two dates to be fixed for the following games: —Wellington v. England, Wellington v. Auckland. Lacrosse Association. September 6th (Wellington v. New South Wales). For Newtown Park the dates agreed on were:
Wellington Hockey Association. — Date to bo fixed at end of August for the match Wellington v. Canterbury.
Wellington Rugby League.—Dates to be fixed (not to clash with other fixtures when admission is charged) for the following games:—Wellington v. Wanganui, Wellington v. Canterbury, Wellington v. Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand v. England.
The Rugby Union did not desire any dates. ,
The dates agreed on by the delegates will be submitted to the reserves committee of the City Council, for ratification, dn Thursday next.
