ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE
THE TYNAN CASE,

In the Police Court William Tynan was charged with the attempted murder of his daughter Evelyn, whom he waylaid when she was leaving school and cut her throat with a razor. The prisoner sat through the pro--ceodings unconcernedly, as having apparently only a spectator’s interest in the . evidence, though occasionally he displayed signs of nervous stress. Detective MaoMahon stated that the prisoner when arrested expressed a desire to he hanged without delay. Mrs Tynan stated that her husband had threatened her previously with a razor, but she never heard him threaten her children. Her husband had been drinking to excess. Tynan when asked to plead remained silent, and was committed for trial.
