Considerable irritation was caused in Dublin -and throughout Ireland by the intimation that packages containing shamrock would not be admitiad to the United States this year owing to the existence of potato disease in Ireland. If the contents of packages are declared they arc stopped on posting. but senders generally have made no declaration.
