LEAGUE FOOTBALL

IN CHRISTCHURCH. Special to the “Times.” CHRISTCHURCH, May 19. The League football game is slowly bat surely getting a strong bold in Christchurch. Another club, to he known as the Christchurch Club, was formed last night, with the following list of prominent and influential citizens as an executive :— President, Mr T. L. Cowlishaw: vice-presidents, Messrs T. Maude, S. Barrett. C. H. Croston, J. Reynolds, W. Hayward, John Holmes, N. Hun can, S. Staples, P. C. Freeth. and S. D. Robinson; secretary, Mr L. Guiney; committee of organisation. Dr Thacker: Messrs George Milne, H. Cook. E. L. Woodhouse. W. Hall. F. Harvey. T. B. Pike. W. L. Clark, and J. F. D. White.
