SIB IAN HAMILTON AND THE MILLENNIUM
To the Editor “N.Z. Times.” Sir, —Speaking at the civic reception tendered to him in Auckland the other day, tho Inspector-General of the Overseas Forces mentioned three “obvious reasons” why the British Dominions were arming in great haste, while at the same time everyone was expecting the millennium shortly. May I suggest that Sir lan Hamilton missed the one obvious and all-sufficient reason for the rush to arms, not only here but all the worm over, viz., a knowledge that the terrific battle of Armageddon is due to arrive before the advent of the millennium age. The date of that tremendous worldconflict, as nearly as can be ascertained! from a study of prophecy and chronology, is about the year 1928, A.D., or just fourteen rears from now. The “multitudes in the Valley of Decision” will include a vast coalition against Britain and the Jews; but the enemies of Israel wm be defeated with great slaughter. It is for this decisive campaign that all the naval and military preparations of the British Dominions are (consciously or eub-conseiously) being made; for the inspired prophets declare that “all the young lions” will be there, fighting on the side of the conquerors against “Gog of the Laud of Magog" and his allies. Eet .me add that I am glad Sir lan,
Hamilton has had the courage to admit (by implication) what so many seem afraid to do-the truth of prophecy regarding the coming great battle and the nearness of the millennium. I am, etc., y J. LIDDELL KELLY. Auckland. May 11th, 1914.
