VESUVIUS VERY ACTIVE. Hr Tolairapli—Pren, AuoclaUon- CopyrUb* ROME, May 17. There have been fresh earthquake shocks in Sicily. Vesuvius is very active. Some weeks ago Mr Burlingham, a kinemaiogruph operator, descended Vesuvius to secure films. He stated that ttie volcano was undoubtedly preparing for another eruption. The walls of the crater were structurally weak, and he expected lava to break through and destroy one side. The present height of Vesu■vips is a little over 400 ft. A railroad lias been built from the base of the cinder cone to the summit near the edge of the prater,
