SAD ACCIDENT NEAR STRATFORD

Special to the “Times.” NEW PLYMOUTH, May 18. The Stratford correspondent of the “Daily News'’ ? , telephoned to-night that a schoolboy named Webberley had been electrocuted there to-day- The Electric Light Company received word that one of its wires was dpwp and two linesmen were dispatched up the Opunake road. They presently found that the wire had been dislodged from its crossbar by the gale and was closo to the ground. Proceeding further, one of the men found the boy clinging to tho wire, quite dead. He was re turning home from school, and evidentlyljad caught hold of the dangling wire, which at that point was on'y a couple of feet off the ground. Death would bo instantaneous.
