ALCOCK’S BILLIARD-DINER HANDICAP. The concluding games of the qualifying round were decided last night, when A. G. Grabbam (rec. 25) defeated AV. J. Hart (scr) by 78 points, F. A. Nees (rec. 75) beat H. H. Porter (rec. oO) by 40 points, E. W. Burd (scr) beat A- J. Beunott (rec. 100) by IS points, E. O. Levvey defaulted to A. Longmore. The first round proper commences tomorrow, at 7.30 p.m., when A. J. Turner plays E. Jacobson. Tills is the only game in tho first round of tho A group. The second round will bo begun tho same evening, as follows:—. W. N. Tucker v. A. J. Grabbam, AV. Burd v. AA r . J. Cunliffe. In the B group F. R. Hutton will meet G. Hemingway. The Tuckcr-Grabham match should prove a big attraction, as both are good cueists. All tho other games will be posted to the players, together with re-handicaps, by the secretary of the competition.
