The Government vainly endeavoured to dissuade the native deputation from sailing. , ~ General Botha pointed out ..hat tje Lands Act separated the two races u the interests of both, and was simp'y an instalment of legislation designed to provide a lasting settlement. He warned the deputation, that the Parliament and the people of Soutn Africa would not tolerate outside interference.
Allegin'* grave dissatisfaction among the natives against the Governments management of ,the Native Afiaiis partment, a deputation, representing various tribes, left Capetown on day in order to lay their views before the Imperial Parliament-
