After much buffeting, for over a week, and suffering much from exposure and shortage of water and food, all reached Rabaul, whore the Chinese and the chief mate remained to assist in the search for the Cairnhill, which, when the boats left on April 9th', was 150 miles north of New Mecklenburg. Steamers sent from Habaul ed unsuccessful after a ten days search. ■
