LETTERS TO BE AUCTIONED. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright (Received May 17, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 17. Four of Captain Cook’s lectors .detailing His visit to. the South Seas, New Zealand, and New South Wales in 1770 are to be auctioned at Sotheby’s in July, also an unpublished diary of Ralph Clark, Lieutenant of Marines in the ship' Friendship, covering the period 1787-1792, with a gap of two years, and dealing with the question of transportation. The diary includes an unofficial account of Major Ross’s rule in Norfolk Island. .
