HA.WERA, May 17. The Egmont Racing Club's winter meeting was concluded to-day in dull but fiiio weather. The attendance was again, largo, bho gates being £ll 10s better than for tbo same day last year. Tlio racing was of an interesting character. Th© totalisator investments far the day amotinted to £15,880, an. increase of £23£B 10s fox the corresponding day last year, making a total for the meeting of £30,780 10s, which was £OOll more than for the winter meeting of 1913. An inquiry into the alleged interference by o*Shea (rider) in the Telegraph Handicap on Wednesday resulted in the rider being given the benefit of the doubt. As tho result of some alleged interference with Kaniki in the Mokooa Handicap, Deeloy, the rider of Zetes, was cautioned. Resu Its: —

Maniaroa then came on the outside, and a desperate set-to resulted in the four horses, , Styrax, Maniaroa, Conney and Kurnalpi finishing in a line, so that the judge alone could place them.
