RUGBY FOOTBALL
SEVEN-A-SIDE TOURNEY. In consequence of the postponement on Saturday last, the Rugby Union has decided that the eeven-a-sido tournament bo played on Saturday next. This has necessitated postponing the games ■proposed to be played for the Hutt disaster fund until later in the season, if a free Saturday is available. In addition to the seven-a-sido matches, two sixth-olass games will bo played, viz:— 1 Athletic v. Petone, at Potone, at 2 o’clock. Ponoke v. St. Patrick’s A, Newtown Park, at 1.30 o’clock. Tho Petone Club having arranged for the benefit match between their club and Athletic m aid of D. Boyd, it has been decided to proceed with this fixture. This will menu that the leading players of each of those two clubs will ho engaged at Petone, so that they will not be strongly represented in the sevcn-a-sido.
