FABIAN REPORT ALLEGED DEMERITS OF THE SCHEME. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright LONDON, March 15. Tho Fabian Research Committee, after careful investigation of the working of the Insurance Act, reports that it has reason to fear ffiaf practically all societies having a largo proportion of women members have exceeded the estimates of sick benefits from 25 to 100 per cent. Tho committee believes that the first year’s claims will exceed the actuaries estimates by, nearly a million sterling. Tho sanatorium benefits are backward. The gravest feature is that millions of families earning below tho pound a week level are practically always ill. Tho Act'extracts a loaf of bread weekly from tho bare cupboards, starving them farther Into illness.
