FOLLOWED COLONIAL AUTONOMY. ' SYDNEY, February 12. Commenting on the Speech from the Throne and the Homo Rule question, the “Daily Telegraph,” in a leader, says:—“The experience of Australia, Canada, South Africa, and New Zealand is that the most gratifying result followed the extension to the people of complete control of local affairs. Instead of a weakening of the Empire and inspiring a desire for separation it had strengthened the Imperial bond.”
