There was much excitement in the Japanese Diet when a want of confidence motion in the Government was moved. The opposing parties engaged in fisticuffs on the floor of the House, and subsequently Count Ito (Nationalist) was carried out in an unconscious condition. The resolution was defeated by 205 votes to 163. A great anti-Government mass meeting was held in the Hibiya Park during the debate.
