RUMOURED ABDICATION DIFFICULTIES WITH MINISTERS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright STOCKHOLM, February 10, A report is in circulation that the King intends to abdicate in favour of his son owing to difficulties with his Ministers, and that the abdication is imminent. STORY REPUDIATED. IVHAT CREATED THE CRISIS. STOCKHOLM, February 10. The story of the intended abdication of the fling is repudiated by official circles. There were certain divergencies between the King’s Speech and the Premier’s speech to the patriotic peasants, and these created a crisis. The Premier desired to remit the question of the length of infantry service to the electorate, but the peasants demanded an immediate solution of the problem, declaring that the military service question was hound up with the whole scheme of national defence. This, combined with the hostility of the" Radicals and Socialists, caused the Cabinet to resign.
