MOTORS IN COLLISION
CAR CRUMPLES UP CYCLE AND RIDER. Press Association. WAIHOA, February 11. A motor-car accident occurred at 0 o’clock this morning on To Uhi hill, near town. Tho Vv'airoa Motor Company’s car, driven by George Gordon, was going down the hill, and a Maori, Apirana Paora, was coming up on a. motor bicycle. Both were on their right side of tho road, but when nearing each othor it is said the Maori crossed in front of tho car. It is supposed he lost control of his nerves. He was caught by the oar and carried ten yards. Paora was picked up in nn unconscious condition and sent to hospital suffering from severe head and internal injuries. Tho car and bicycle wore both damaged—the latter suffering badly.
