In the Assembly Mr CTesswell moved an amendment declining to condone the deportation of citizens, without trial and asking for a .searching investigation by » commission of which the Chief Justice should bo president. His discursive attack on tho Government, which was not finished, occupied tho sitting. Ho accused tho Government of being in league with the miiio owners to irritate the workers into, a 'general strike. - - • Tho Minister tabled ‘.a return dealing with thirty-eight secret outrages, committed or attempted during tho crisis in January, including three explosions on tho railway. Twelve instances were given of dynamite on •(ho railway linos and four of dynamite explosions.
