TITANIC DISASTER
A DECISION UPHELD, By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received February 10, 8.20 p.m.) LONDON, February 10. The Court of Appeal has upheld, the decision in the Titanic case.
[A cablegram from London on June 30th stated :—“ In connection with the actions against the owners of the steamer Titanic for damages by relatives or passengers w'ho were lost, the King’s Bench Division of the High Court has ruled against the Oceanic S.S. Company on a reserved point of law, namely, whether the company could be absolved from liability by a condition attached to the back of a passenger’s ticket nullifying the contract printed on the front of the ticket. This decision ensures the passenger compensation in the event of loss through negligence of the company’s servants.”}
