DOCTORS ON THE PANEL. STATEMENT BY MR LLOYD GEORGE. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright LONDON, February 8. Presiding at a doctors’ dinner in honour of Dr Addison, M.P., Mr Lloyd George (Chancellor of the Exchequer) stated tlha+, 20,000 out of 22,000 doctors in Britain were on. the Insurance panel. The 20,000, however, include duplicates—doctors serving more than one panel. The Government had distributed four and a half million pounds, averaging £230 apiece. The average for London was £330; Birmingham, £380; Manchester, £295; Liverpool, £370; Durham, £230.
