THE DAY’S BAY BUSH

To the Editor “ N.Z. Times." Sir,—As vou have said, it will be a thousand pities and a standing reproach to our public men if the Lay’s Bay bush ia allowed to he subdivided, sold, and destroyed. The people of Wellington cannot afford to lose that beautiful resort. I would suggest that the Mayor call a public meeting of citizens to consider the question, and that this -be done as early as possible. The public would then have an opportunity of backing the City Council and approving whatever action followed to secure the Hay’s Bay bush for the benefit of this and of future generations.—l am, etc-,
