SOLWAY SHOW
The attractive programme which has been drawn up for the public in connection with the Masterton show on Tuesday and Wednesday next, and the special facilities for carrying them to and from the great stock fair, should ensure a 'larger than ever before recorded in the history of the association. In the stock section all the chief breeds are well catered for. Special prizes and trophies innumerable are offered, in addition to increased cash prizes given by the association. Tlie New Zealand championships in Lincoln rams and ewes will be decided at Solway this year, while the Lawes silver cup, valued at twenty-five guineas, will be awarded to the, best Lincoln ram under twenty-one months. In the Romney Marsh section the Bnanoepeth Cup, valued at twenty-five guineas, and the Perry salver, valued at twenty guineas, will he among the trophies to be won, and in Southdowns the Glenside Cup, valued at fifteen guineas, and Mr J. Stuckey’s cash prize of £lO for the best ram under twenty-one months, should again produce keen competition.
