WORK SCARCE AT AUCKLAND
Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 23. Work on the waterfront is scarce. Many former strikers were gathered on the wharves to-day, but dispersed when a notice was posted up stating that no applications for membership of the new union will be considered until after tho New Year holidays. A busy period is expected after the holidays.
