THE BUSH FIRES
FORESHORE SWEPT FOR MILES, By Telesraph—Preo» Association —Oopyrlglu MELBOURNE, December 23. The bush fire at Aspendale swept for miles along tho foreshore upon which stood a hundred' houses and bungalows of week-end campers. The damage is estimated at between £20,000 and £30,000, which is mostly covered by insurance. (Received December 24, 0.55 a.m.) MELBOURNE, December 23. The official report show’s that ninetyfour residences, irrespective of temporary structures, wore destroyed by tho fires in Aspendalo district.
