TARATAHI - CARTERTON MEETING

The annual meeting of this popular club takes place on Friday. The railway authorities have arranged special excursion fares, and trains leave Lambton station at 6.40 and 8.30 a.m. A train leaves the course after the last race. Some capital racing is promised. Prominent amongst tho fiat racers engaged are Byron, Leapuki, Metric Guy, Suratura, Master Lupin, and Austral. Tho club has received a splendid response to its first call for trotters, twenty-throe horses having paid up for tho mile trot, and eighteen for the milo and a half, including those sterling performers— Franz Josef, Our George, Lucy Wallace, Waitapipi, and Todd Bills.
