AUCKLAND, December 22. The weather was fine but dull, and tho course proper faster than on Saturday for training operations at Ellerslie this morning. ' Sandy Paul was going easier tnan Prestwick at the end of a round covered in 2min 9sec. Kakama and Goldsize did six furlongs in Imin Usee. Colonel Soult, not doing his best ran a'mile and a quarter in 2mm 2o 3-ssec. Santa Rosa beat Decorate over a mile in Imin 57 3-ssec. Rencontre and Waiowera were together at the end of three furlongs in 39seo. La Rein a heat Sir Solo over a mile and a quarter in 2min 20 2-6 sec. Bonny Helen did six furlongs in Imin 23sec, and Tact and Prince Soult (with the assistance of Lady Alicia over the first favo) did six furlongs in.- Imin 20 3-ssec. Cherubini covered a round, Historietto joining in over the last seven furlongs, in 2min ssec, and Jack Delaval, 'going easy over a round, clocked 2min Bsec. Bon Ton and Quarantine were companions over h mile and a quarter, the former taking 2min 17 3-ssec and tho latter 2miu 18 l-ssec, a good gallop. Ardent did five furlongs from tho new post in Imin Ssec, and Jolie Fille beat Prince Merriweo over a mile and a half, done in 2min 51sec. Merry Roe ended a four furlong flutter in. 52 1-5 sec, and Peg finished better than Mint over seven furlongs in Imin 32sec. Austin did seven furlongs in Imin 32sec, and Cheddar beat Tatterley by half a length over six furlongs in Imin 19 4-ssec. Belasoo was a length In front of Gipsy Bello at the end of five furlongs, timed at Imin 8 l-sseo. Postillion covered five furlongs from the new post in Imin 4 sec, and Rinaldo, with assistance over the last mile by Salzburg, wont a round in 2min 4sec. Culprit was a shade better than Good Night over five furlongs from the new post in Imin 4 3-sseo. The Hague did a mile from the new post, the last seven furlongs in Imin 34sec. Stevedore did a mile in Imin 66 3-sseo, and Charmilla four furlongs in 63sec. Potoa, Marshal McDonald, and tsea Pink were together over a mile and a half. Tho. former, on the outside all the way, ran tho distance in 2mm 46sec, Marshal McDonald taking 2min 47seo, and Sea Pink 2min 48 3-sseo. Royal Arms, with the assistance of Crown Pearl over the last seven, cut out a mile in Imin 49 2-6seo. Beldame beat Soltano by two lengths in a six furlong run in Imin 19sec. Silver Shield was half a length in front of Fabrikoff at the end of five furlongs in Imin Ssec, Balboa beat Chime over five from the new post in Imin 5 3-5 sec, and Sir Malt did six furlongs in Imin 24seo. A lot of others did useful work.
