MINE MANAGER’S REPORT.

Reporting on December 18tK on the •work of the previous week at the Rosa goldfields, the mine manager stated:—, Aline, Sixth Level, No. 2 Shoot.—South drive from shoot driven to 176 feet—wash of low value. This drive has been stopped, and party removed to open a cutting-up drive off eaat drive.

East drive off south extended to 176 feet from opening—prospects irregular. North drive off east driven to 4.6 feet from the opening—prospects payable* and bottom slightly dipping. Cassius Workings, South Side.—East drive on south side has been standing during the week, the party who have been engaged in the extension of this drive having been assisting to take out the pillar of ground near Cassius shaft. The driving of this drive will be resumed in a f«w days.
