The pilot at Poston states that the recent stormy weather was tho severest ho had experienced since taking up tus duties at that port. All tho beacons were blown down and other damage done. In the vicinity a shed was lifted bodily by the wind over a fence, while Mr Barber's woolshed at Himahmgi was partly unroofed, allowing fifteen bales of wool to become drenched. At Manakau, Mr Drake’s shed wn.s partly demolished, and one farmer was unable to secure his cows for milking purposes owing to tho flooded state of the river.
