A NEW MAGISTRATE
MR D. G. A. COOPER APPOINTED Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., has been appointed senior Stipendiary Magistrate at Wellington, in succession to the late Dr McArthur. Mr D. 6. A. Cooper, at present Registrar and Sheriff of the Supremo Court, Wellington, has been appoint-, ed to succeed Mr Riddell as second Magistrate here. It is understood that ho will take up his new duties early in tho coining year. Mr J. S. Evans. S.M., who has been relieving magistrate at Wellington since Dr McArthur’s death, will probably return to his own district. Nelson, shortly.
