Tho officers and employees of the Tourist Department assembled at the rtotorua Tourist Office on Wednesday for the purpose of bidding farewell to Air W. it. Blow on the eve of his departure for Sydney, and to present him with -a tangible token of esteem. Iu making the presentation, which consisted of a silver salver, sugar basin and tongs, and cream jug, the resident officer, Air W. Hill, said the de partment was losing an active and zealous officer. They were sorry Air Blow was leaving, hut they could not grudge his promotion, and all wished him and Airs Blow happy times in the future. Sir Kobert Stout will give a memorial address at tho X'nitarian Free Church to-morrow, in connection with the death of Air John Gammell.
