Thirteen local bills, which had passed tho House of Representatives, were introduced and read a first time. PUBLIC TRUST. The Hon. H. D. 801 l moved the (third reading of tho Public Tirust Office Amendment Bill. The Hon. G. Jonos paid a tribute' to the work of tho Public .Trust Office In the past, and expressed gratificar tion at tho report of the Royal Com-i mission on the subject. The bill was read a third time on the voices. STALLIONS BILL. In moving the second reading of tho Stallions Bill, the Minister explained that tho object of the bill was to provide in New .-Zealand for clean stallions bearing tho imprimatur of the Government. The bill had been asked for by the farmers throughout the country. The bill was read a second time and referred to the Stock Committee. Tho Public Works Amendment Bill (Hon. Mr Bell) was read a second time. Tho Council adjourned at 4.55 p.m.
