The hearing of the case against Joseph Grizgard, Simon Silverman* and Leisir Gutwirth (Austrian diamond dealers), and Jock Lockett (jeweller), charged on remand with being concerned in the theft of the pearl necklace, was continued at Bow street Police Court, The prosecution examined postal ofBcials with a view to showing that fresh seals had been placed on the necklace package in London. The magistrate remarked that their evidence did not support the theory, and he adjourned the case for further evidence on the point.
