SIR JOSEPH WARD
WILL BE IN WELLINGTON SHORTLY. Cabled advice was received in Wellington last night that Sir Joseph Ward reached Perth yesterday on hit journey from London to Wellington. It is expected that he will arrive in Sydney in ample time to catch nest Wednesday’s steamer , for Auckland, reaching that city on Sunday week, and that he will be in Wellington on the following day. Sir Joseph and Lady Ward wore passengers in the Mongolia, which arrived here to-day from London. In conversation with an interviewer. Sir Joseph stated that all he oould say at present regarding naval policy was that ho favoured the maintenance of an Imperial navy as opposed to the creation of a separate Dominion fleet.
