The executive of the United Labour party is sending to all labour bodies in the Dominion copies of the “ declaration of principles and statement on present crisis,” which was published in the “New Zealand Times” last week. At the same time the unions are being asked to state the position they are taking up under the new order of things, and to notify the executive whether they will continue their allegiance to the party, or throw in their lot with it now, as the case may be. Favourable reports are already reaching the executive on the attitude of the unions, some notifying that they will continue in affiliation and others making application for affiliation at once.
