ARBOR DAY PROGRAMME. mHe following is the official programme 1 for Arbor Day (TO-DAY, WEDNESDA ST): — Trees and Shrubs have been supplied by the Council to the folio wine schools: —Maranui. Island Bay, Kilbirnie. Newtown. Brooklyn, Eoseneath, Mitchelltown, Mount Cook Boys’, Mount Cook Girls’, Mount Cook Infants’ and Terrace. The principal ceremony will take place at section 4S, Town Belt, which the public are specially invited to attend. The section lies about 400 yards south of Victoria College, and access to same is obtained from Kelbnrne Parade through the cutting (or via Salamanca road and Kelburne Parade). The itinerary of his Worship the Mayor, the Chairman of the Reserves, and Members of the Council for the day is as follows : Kilbirnie School, 9.15 a.m. Roseneath School, 10 o’clock. Section IS, Town Belt, 11 o’clock. Newtown School, 2 p.m. Island Bay. 3 p.m. The public are invited to attend the functions at these schools, and at all the schools where trees will be planted during the day. JNO. E.
