From Our Own Correspondent. July 14. The Rev. Archdeacon and Mr» Comins left here on Friday for Auckland. They expect to return to Shannon about September. They intend visiting the Islands. Mr Hunt, of Kingston road, recently sold his sheep run. Tho United Workers held their monthly “social” in the Druids’ Hall on Friday night. The music was supplied by Miss Olive Lourvig, while Mr H. Wiggins filled tho position of M.C. Mr Donovan is at present relieving Btatkmmaster here. The Shannon junior Rugby team won in default on Saturday, Hui Mai Juniors failing to put in an appearance. The seniors were beaten by 38 points to 8 by tho Hui Mai.seniors.
