ESTATE OF E. J. RIDDIFORD. The hearing was continued before the Full Court yesterday of the appeal o rought against the assessment of the Commissioner of Stamps in connection with the estate of the late E. J. Riddiford. On the Bench were their Honors Sir Robert Stout (Chief Justice), Six Joshua) Williams Mr Justice Denniston, Mr Justice Edwards, Mr Justice Cooper, and Mr Justice Chapman. The parties were Eleanor Caroline Riddiford, Edward Vivian Riddiford, Daniel Henry Strather Riddiford, Eric L,es io Riddiford, and Oliver Ashby Bunny, executors of the will of Ed ward Joshua Riddiford, deceased, appellants, and the Commissioner of stamps, respondent. Mr C. P. Skerrett, K.C., with him Mr Myers, appeared for the appellants, and the Hon. A. L. Herdman, with him Mr H. H. Ostler, for the Commissioner of Stamps. The amount involved in the action vas the difference between £89,24U (claimed by the Commissioner) and £51,000 claimed by the appellants to be the amount due. Argument had not concluded when she court adj’ourned for the day.
