AT TRENTHAM

Saturday proved even a duller day than Wednesday at the races, as far as dressing went. Nobody ventured to put on anything but the always suitable as well as useful coat and skirt. Even these were of the severely utilitarian order for the most part; navy blue seemed to predominate, so that the general view of the crowd was distinctly dull, and even some of the waving plumes of Wednesday were absent, no doubt because it promised wind in. the morning, a promise which, luckily, was not fulfilled. Miss Hai ■ court, who came out rather late, wore a grey coat and skirt and a grey hat with shaded blue feathers; Mrs Moorhouse wore black, with a black and white hat; Mrs J.
