SWIMMING
OLD BOYS’ CLUB. The first distance of the Old Boys’ championship (220yds) was contested at Te Are Baths last evening, the following being the result: R. Newman 1, H. Capper 2, G. Paterson 3. Also started—R. Nelson, E. Levy. Won by a narrow margin after a good race. Time, 2min 56sec. The second distance of the championship (50yds) will ho swum at le Aro Baths at 2.30 p.m. to-day, and the third' (100yds) at 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday next.
