MONTHLY MEETING DIGEST OF BUSINESS TRANSACTED. A Ducting of the Wellington Land Board was held at the District Lands and Survey Office yesterday, when there were present Messrs T. N. Brodrick, Comnussioner of Crown .Lands (chairman), Joseph Dawson. H. T. Ellingham, and James Georgetti. ' . The minutes of the meetings held on the 30th and 31st January, 1313. and at! Kakahi on 20th and 21st iust., were read and confirmed. TRANSFERS. The following applications to transfer, were received, and it was resolved to approve, on the usual conditions: S. Carrington, jilnr., applied to transfer section 2, block 3, Kakahi Township, as be is unable to reside, having to work in a locality more suited to bis state of health, and it Was resolved to ask him to show cause why hie interest should ndt be forfeited. 1 W< H, Brookes and E. B. B. Thessman applied to transfer section 9, Manobestet block (Nikaii Grange Association), to W, and W. J. Barnes, and it was resolved to recommend provided, the price to bo paid by'the transferee is supplied. C. O. Eggere, P. Eggers, and D. O’Brien applied to transfer timber license over sections 1,3, 4, and 6, block 12, Kaitieke, to M. H. King, and it was resolved that approval be given subject to a satisfactory, arrangement being inode ad to payment of royalties. VV. D. and Eleanor Keys applied to sublet 1764 acres of section lb, blocks 1 and 5, Nukumaru, to F. O. . Matthews for improvement of fencing line, and it was resolved to approve. Lankey (deceased) applied to convert the tenure of section 34, block 18, Mangahno, to renewable lease, and it was resolved to approve in terms of section 169 of the Land A6t. 1908. It was resolved to offer section 2, block 5, Banrimu Township, for sale by public auction at an upset price of £25. J. E. Hitchcock wrote that ho is unable to reside on section 1, block 6, Mattugakaretn, owing to illness of his wife, and it was feSolved to grant three months in Which to transfer, otherwise the board mnst forfeit. It WaS resolved to approve of the amount received for improvements on section 25, block 9, Htmua, being dealt with as follows: £25 Kfe to be applied towards payment to Crown of part advances and cost of re-offering; the balance, £3 9b, to bo paid over to tho person found entitled to receive it. It Was resolved to approve of the price of section 33, block 10, Umutoi, Which it is proposed to add to section 26, block 10, Usnntlo, being fixed at £4 per acre. SUB-LEASES. ■ F. S. Tyer applied to snh-let section 11, block 6, Fohangina Township, to H. I. Christensen for five years from August 8 th, 1912, and it was resolved to approve. A, G. Knight applied to sub-let section 37, block 7, Umutoi, to. Grace N. Ewing for five years from March Xsth, 1913, and it was - resolved to approve. A. H. Hosken applied to let two cottages on section 13, block 2, Kakahi ■ V.S.’, and it was resolved to approve, provided he continues to reside on the section. John Kidd asked permission to let a cottage on section 5, block 6, Owhango Township, to N. Ericksen, and it was resolved to approve on condition that he continues in residence on the section. Mrs M. J. Koester applied to enb-let section 27, block 3, Rangataua Township, as she is living with her husband, on his Section 2, block 1. in same township, and it was resolved to approve. H. W. Stretton applied to enh-let section 15, block I. Kakahi VIS., adjoining hie freehold and boardinghouse, and it was decided to approve. TRAMWAY, AND OTHER, RIGHTS. The following applied for consent to grant of ttamway, roadway, bridge and building rights to Adolph Goldfinsh, and it was resolved to approve under usual conditions: K. McK. Maugatainoka V.S., to enlarge Ids bouse on section 15. and it was resolved to approve provided the mortgagee consents. Messrs Gawith and Logan asked if the interest of S. A. McDonald in section 17,

Referring to the offer made to tho Puhmgarere Sawmill Coy. of tho timber in Raketapauma Block, it was resolved to withdraw the offer previously mad© to the company. The disposal cf milling timber on section 26, block 5, Karioi. was considered, and it was resolved to postpone till nest meeting. Mr Albert Anderson made [a personal application for a sawmill license over the property, but the request was declined. EXPENDITURE OF "THIRDS." Jackson, and it was resolved to approve. W. A. Cottle applied for a grazing tenancy over sections 66; 67, 73, 74, 83, 84, Notmandale Settlement; and it was resolved to defer for ranger’s report. W. With reference to tho transfer of lot 1 of section 4, Tutaekara Village Settlement, from the Public Trusts© to J. E. Lee applied for a reduction in rent of section 44, Normandaie Settlement, as the Petoie Borough Council will not allow him to keep pigs or poultry on the land, and it was resolved to obtain the ranger’s report, and the Commissioner to ascertain if relief can ha granted. Messrs Bennett and Punch, Ltd., applied for an extension of their milling Ucenoe on sections 6,7, 8, Karioi, as they desire to put in. a steel train. Postponed to next meeting. 1 Mrs J.
