THE WEATHER PROSPECTS
GENERAL FORECAST FOR TO-DAY. (By the Dominion Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. yesterday) are winds changing by west to northerly, and increasing, especially southward of New Plymouth and Napier. Fair to cloudy weather, with mild and hazy conditions generally, and rain following shortly on the west coast and southern districts of the South Island, the barometer falling everywhere, especially in the south.
