HARBOUR MATTERS
The Wellington Harbour Board's meeting last night was_ attended by Messrs it. Fletcher (chairman), C. .W. donee, J. G. Harkness. C. L. Daniell, J C. Cobbe, A. Macfarlane, J* W. McEwah, J* Trevor, M* 'Oohen, B. C. Benner* J* E. Fitzgerald, W. H. drethj and P. C. Freeth. The payments for the month amounted to £23,369 Is sd, including accounts'and Wages £20,533 12s 7d, progress payments on contracts £l9ll 14s 6d; and salaries £9lB 14 4d. On the recommendation of the wharves and accounts Committee it Was resolved: To consent to transfer by city corporation to Railway Department ol land at To Aro railway station; to consent to transfer of foreshore license No. 90, hoatshed and skids, Evans Day. from N. Gibbs to J* Bell, attd to affix seal of boat'd to sameto grant foreshore license to -G. Dennis for bohtshed at Evans Day subject to approval of plans by Gdv-ernor-in-Cotthcil: to call for tenders, closing at 5 ‘p.ib. bh March 26th, for annual snbplies and services (excluding cartage, ironfoundry, and hrassfonndry thetofrom).
