LIGHTING BIG KING
Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 28. Replying to a deputation of ship* masters to-day, the Hon. F. M. H. Fisher, Minister of Marine, said he had come to the conclusion that it was impossible to instal a light on the western King; the Big King was the only solution of the difficulty. Possibly a low. power wireless plant would also be installed there. He had sent inquiries to Australia, with a view to ascertaining whether it was possible to moor a buoy with,a fog signal and automatic light off the western King. If they could do it it would be tried as an experiment. Twelve months’ work was going on at the B'g’King meantime.
