MEETING OF POULTRYMEN
Press Association. NELSON, February 25. The largest and most enthusiastic meeting ot poultrymen for many years was held last evening, and it was unanimously decided to affiliate with the New Zealand Championship Association just registered at Wellington. Mr E. Gallichan, secretary of the new association, was present, and explained tho proposed working of the championship body. There will bo championship shows in Wellington and Christchurch and four provincial championships, one for Otago and Southland combined, one for Canterbury, one for Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Marlborough, and Westland combined, and one for Auckland. Mr Gallichan will visit other centres. The new association will bo in working order next show season. The Wellington societies have affiliated, Nelson being the fourth. Picton, Blenheim, and other societies are favourably disposed.
