It has been stated that the Wellington Cricket Association has not spent a great deal in improving the Basin Reserve, and in order to contra vert this assertion the management committee of the association has had a report prepared giving details of the expenditure for several years past. This was placed before them last evening and showed that the amounts expended by tho association from 1900 to August 31st, 1912, were as follows: Wages, £2260; improvements, £493 ; material and plant, £423; maintenance of horse, £425; and raising of fence, £52; making a total of £3653. For the period between 18S2 and 1900, for which unfortunately the whole of the records are not available, the wages are estimated at £3325, and the total expenditure at £SOOO.
